Schulze sets personal record at Ironman Arizona; team members register for 2009 edition

After a foot injury forced her to participate as a spectator rather than race at this year’s Frankfurter Sparkasse Ironman European Championship (aka, Ironman Germany), Heather Schulze came back from injury last month with a resounding finish at Ford Ironman Arizona. With Brian, Bill, Suzy, and Scott cheering her on, Heather pushed her way through 140.6 miles of swimming, biking, and running to set a personal Ironman record, coming across the line 12:55. Way to go Heather!

Inspired by Heather’s performance, Bill and Scott promptly signed up for Ironman Arizona the following morning along with Suzy Kinner who will take on her first Ironman in Arizona next year. Not to be outdone or miss a shot at teaching Bill and Scott a lesson on land speed records, Mike Roberts also registered for the 2009 edition of IM Arizona. We look forward to seeing those three shoot for their challenging race finish goals and watching Suzy knock out her first Ironman with style.

In addition to Arizona we also have people heading to Ironman Coeur d’Alene, Ironman Canada, Ironman Wisconsin, Ironman Louisville, and the inaugural Ironman Cozumel. Anyone for the swim-up bar?
