We had a blast in 2014 and look forward to seeing everyone again this year on the race course, in a bar, or on the beach.
Now we bet that you didn’t know that vast community of triathlete-musicians were paparazzi-worthy, did you? OK, so perhaps it’s just a tiny handful of triathletes who happen to play in a single band in Kansas City that helped to fill in a column or two on a slow news day.
It was so news-worthy, in fact, that they had to break the article up into multiple pieces; check out this article in today’s Kansas City Star featuring Ironband’s guitarist, Dave. Stay tuned as it is rumored that other members of band will be featured in coming weeks!
Sorry Jackson County folks; we were only news-worth enough to make the 913 section (page 26) which is only distributed in Johnson County.
To answer the obvious question, yes, Justin will, in fact, be holding an autograph session and auctioning off a dinner date with him at the Western Sizzler at a date and location to be determined.

Ironman World Championship – Kona | more info
There is a rumor that Ironband will be making a return appearance in Kona in 2014. While we can neither confirm nor deny such rumors we did want to pencil it in on the calendar for planning purposes. Of course, if we do head to Kona we expect all of our friends who are “on the bubble” to put that extra bit of effort into their training this year so they can score a Kona qualifier spot and join us!
Should that happen and the band find themselves in Kona again this year you can expect a few performances at bars, house parties, beaches, and events both official and unofficial. Aloha!
See you on a course or on a stage soon!
